Comments: I feel stupid asking this, but if we have a huge disaster, like California sliding into the ocean, or terrorists blow up the Internet, and we can't pay back the money we are borrowing for the bailouts and the war in Iraq, could China forclose on the USA and make us move to like Canada or Mexico? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

[ No, it's an odd question and I had not thought of the possibility, but I would say it's possible. Except for the part of the populace moving to Mexico or North to someplace colder than Minnesota. Neither country wants us after the many years of abuse and acting superior. No, the likely option is that everybody would be moved to the Austrailan Outback and be forced to live there. There's enough room and no one else wants it. And the natives speak a form of English... ]
